Ring of Culture é uma plataforma cultural sediada na Irlanda, fundada pelo escritor e produtor editorial Vitor Vicente, que desenvolve projetos em torno dos livros e da literatura, com atenção especial ao encontro entre culturas. Seu trabalho envolve publicação, tradução, workshops, conversas e tours, criando possibilidades de circulação para escritores e leitores em diferentes contextos. A plataforma também desenvolve iniciativas voltadas ao intercâmbio cultural e à presença internacional da literatura.

Entre seus projetos está County Pairings: Ireland and Europe in Conversation, iniciativa que aproxima condados irlandeses e países europeus por meio da literatura e da troca cultural. O projeto se articula ao programa County Pairings da Presidência Irlandesa do Conselho da União Europeia em 2026, que estabeleceu parcerias entre cada condado da Irlanda e um Estado-Membro da União Europeia, promovendo encontros entre comunidades e ampliando as relações culturais no continente.

No âmbito dessa iniciativa, a Ring of Culture constrói uma perspectiva literária sobre essas aproximações, colocando escritores e histórias locais em diálogo com diferentes contextos europeus. Entre os pares estão Louth e Portugal, Wicklow e Espanha, Dublin e Grécia e Offaly e Bélgica, formando uma rede de encontros que favorece a circulação da literatura entre territórios.

A Vida Comunicação participa do projeto na estratégia de marketing e comunicação, atuando tanto na aproximação com o público de língua portuguesa quanto na comunicação oficial do evento em inglês. A parceria envolve a criação e adaptação de conteúdos para diferentes públicos e contextos culturais, ampliando a visibilidade do County Pairings na Irlanda, em Portugal e em outros espaços de expressão portuguesa.

A programação do County Pairings já está em circulação, com um dos eventos do projeto em divulgação e ingressos disponíveis pelo Birr Theatre & Arts Centre, na Irlanda. A iniciativa dá forma pública às parcerias entre os territórios e inaugura uma programação dedicada ao encontro entre Irlanda e Europa por meio da literatura.

Ring of Culture is an Ireland-based cultural platform founded by writer and publishing producer Vitor Vicente. It develops projects around books and literature, with a particular focus on encounters between cultures. Its work encompasses publishing, translation, workshops, conversations and literary tours, creating opportunities for writers and readers to connect across different contexts. The platform also develops initiatives that foster cultural exchange and expand the international presence of literature.

Among its projects is County Pairings: Ireland and Europe in Conversation, an initiative that brings Irish counties and European countries together through literature and cultural exchange. The project is connected to the County Pairings programme of Ireland’s 2026 Presidency of the Council of the European Union, which established partnerships between each county in Ireland and an EU Member State, encouraging encounters between communities and strengthening cultural relations across Europe.

As part of this initiative, Ring of Culture brings a literary perspective to these connections, placing writers and local stories in dialogue with different European contexts. The pairings include Louth and Portugal, Wicklow and Spain, Dublin and Greece, and Offaly and Belgium, creating a network of encounters that supports the circulation of literature across borders.

Vida Comunicação is involved in the project’s marketing and communications strategy, working both to engage Portuguese-speaking audiences and to support the event’s official communications in English. The partnership includes the creation and adaptation of content for different audiences and cultural contexts, expanding the visibility of County Pairings in Ireland, Portugal and other Portuguese-speaking communities.

The County Pairings programme is already underway, with one of its events currently being promoted and tickets available through the Birr Theatre & Arts Centre in Ireland. The initiative brings the partnerships between territories into the public sphere, launching a programme dedicated to encounters between Ireland and Europe through literature.
